Magic and fantasy transport us to worlds beyond imagination, where anything is possible—castles float in the sky, mythical creatures roam free, and adventures await at every turn. What if you could create your own enchanting tale filled with wonder and mystery? Sounds thrilling, right?

Wizkids invites all kids aged 6-15 to participate in our Tell Ur Tale Contest! Let your creativity soar as you weave a spellbinding story filled with magic, adventure, and extraordinary characters based on the curated themes of the month.

6 to 8 Years

  1. Theme - Fantasy & Magic!

    Write or narrate a story of your choice within the given word and narration time limits by choosing one of the mentioned themes:

    • A young dragon discovers it can breathe ice instead of fire. Create a magical tale.
    • A lonely sea monster finds a message in a bottle that changes its life. Weave a magical story.
    • A baby sea turtle must find the hidden treasure chest to save the coral kingdom. Imagine its quest and weave a tale.

  2. Language of Narration/Writing: English

  3. Points to Remember:
    1. Participants can take inspiration from various sources, but we encourage kids to submit original creations.
    2. Ensure that submissions are not plagiarized or generated using AI tools.

  4. Time Limit: 2-5 minutes

  5. Submission Format:
    • Video of narration & Story document

9 to 11 Years

  1. Theme - Fantasy & Magic!

    Write or narrate a story of your choice within the given word limit and narration time limits by choosing one of the mentioned themes:

    • You discover that the lighthouse of your village is actually a portal to a city under the sea.
    • You fall into a puddle and end up in an upside-down world.
    • You get lost in the woods and find a door in a tree that whispers your name.

  3. Word Limit: 500-1000 Words

  4. Submission Format:
    • Story Document

  5. Points to Remember:
    1. Participants can take inspiration from various sources, but we encourage kids to submit original creations.
    2. Ensure that submissions are not plagiarized or generated using AI tools.

12 to 15 Years

  1. Theme - Fantasy & Magic!

    Write or narrate a story of your choice within the given word limit and narration time limits by choosing one of the mentioned themes:

    • You study in a wizard school where all the brooms keep flying away. Write a tale of how you solve this problem.
    • You are the owner of an enchanted hat that keeps running away. Describe how you convince the hat to stay with you.
    • Your magic wand goes on strike and refuses to do any spells. Compose a tale of how you manage to make the wand cast spells again.

  2. Language of Narration/Writing: English

  3. Time Limit: 2-5 minutes

  4. Submission Format:
    • Video of narration & Story document

The language of submission is English.

You are absolutely right! While the imagination of a 6 year old may easily rival that of a 15 year old, we are creating a level playing field. We have created 3 age categories (6-8, 9-11 & 12-15 years) and each category will be considered separately. Wizkids is India's largest paid digital platform hosting a variety of contest formats for kids of 3 - 15 yrs with participation from 500+ cities spread over 36 States & Union Territories.

Yes, For age groups 6 - 8 Kids have to create and narrate the story. You can send us a Video of Narration and a word document of the story. For age groups 9 - 11 & 12 - 15, kids have to write the story. You must send the written document of the story.

Yes - we encourage parents to help their kids in developing the story. But our advice is to let the kids’ imagination remain primary - we all know that our children can imagine stuff way better than we can! (In both cases please ensure you also submit a typed word document that is needed for publication in the magazine)

Every story will be evaluated on a combination of 5 factors - Creativity, Originality, Grammar & Spellings, Flow and Structure.

6 - 8 Years: 2 - 5 min Narration
9 -11 , 12 - 15 Years - 500 - 1000 Words
