This book is a treat for animal lovers. It is about a girl named Polly whose holiday home for pets is in much demand. It has guinea pigs who make the constant noise of “Oooeek! Oooeek!”, a noisy Mynah bird known for imitating sounds and human speech, especially when caged, and Doris the snake, belonging to Polly’s friend Jack. When Doris goes missing, there is chaos and the most intriguing part is – Can Polly find Doris before the snake finds the guinea pigs?
It has a lot of pictures, which makes it interesting to read. The colorful illustrations bring the story to life. The story is divided into many chapters which makes it easy to read. It is full of surprises and funny incidents. There are cute guinea pigs and a cheeky bird who keeps causing mischief. The best surprise is given by the guinea pigs when they have babies.
This book taught me a lot about animals, and how to look after them. It is a fun read.
I would recommend this book to all my friends, who like animals and who like reading funny books.
