The Dog and the Bone
Once upon a time, there was a dog who walked the streets looking for food at all hours of the day and night.
He came upon a large juicy bone one day and instantly grabbed it between his teeth and carried it home. He passed a river on his way home and came upon another dog with a bone in its teeth.
He wanted that bone as well. The bone he was gnawing at dropped into the river and sunk as he opened his lips. He went home famished that night.Moral: If we constantly covet what others have, we will eventually lose what we already have, much like the greedy dog.
