The KPL contests are divided in two buckets - each of which hold an
immense significance to creating a well-rounded child.

21st Century Essential Skills

The KPL seeks to develop, discover and identify essential 21st Century skills – as in this new-age, kids need to be confident and articulate in presenting their thoughts to a wider audience.

Broadening Horizons

Exciting contests that allow the child to explore, engage and discover a world that is plentiful and expansive through the fields of painting, performances and shlokas to go back and connect with our cultural heritage!

2. Shloka Scholars

Shloka Scholars

The Shloka Scholars – KPL edition seeks to connect our young kids to our ancient roots that go back thousands of years, while also helping them improve their diction, rhythm and understanding of our culture!

Insightful themes with detailed guidelines given to participants! In-person recitation for semi-finals and finals!

The shlokas shall be judged on the following criteria:

Pronunciation
Presentation
Fluency and Memorization
Adherence to Theme
Explanation of Shlokas (only 9 - 15 years)

Master Orator

The Master Orator – KPL edition seeks to encourage one of the most important skills in today’s world – public speaking and articulation of one’s thoughts – through terrific speeches!

Thought-provoking yet exciting themes with detailed guidelines given to participants! In-person oration for semi-finals and finals!

The speeches shall be judged on the following criteria:

Vocabulary
Grammar
Idea explored in the Speech
Structure and flow of the Speech

4. Recite it!

Recite It!

The Recite It! – KPL edition seeks to identify the most promising poetry reciters in India! Reciting a poetry is an art in itself – as difficult as composing a poem! Haven’t all of us been wowed by the thahrav and depth of Gulzar’s narrations or when a young poet recites a Tennyson or Wordsworth! Let our kids experience the same raptures as expert poets experience when narrating a poem!

The poetry recitations shall be judged on the following criteria:

Accuracy
Understanding of Poem (6 - 8 Yrs
Justification of Poem (9 - 15 Yrs)

The Star Performer – KPL edition seeks to identify the most promising little actors in India! See our little ones perform on a national stage!
